Built tough enough to work with and it keeps the solar cell from boiling my battery out. I use it on an electrically-controlled gate in a remote area, in the summer, I was killing my batteries with too much volts from the solar cells. So far, my batteries seem in great shape. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. good solar charge regulator By Daniel Baker I have built a solar buggy (1974 golf cart) that has 3 15 watt panels that I am using this regulator to control one of the panels to a 12 volt battery (one of 4 in series for 48 volts).
